Celebrating the role models and organisations empowering women in construction and engineering

This year Construction News and New Civil Engineer are once again joining forces to champion the role of women in construction and engineering. Following the success of our 2022 Inspiring Women in Construction and Engineering event, the two publications will work together to provide networking opportunities and learning resources to help women make career progress and celebrate organisations being great places to work for women. With a continued focus on encouraging the development of women within the sector and improving EDI policy, the Inspiring Women event programme will bring together women and male allies from across both sectors to network, learn and celebrate their successes. 

Webinar

This year's event programme commenced with the 'Unlocking the potential for flexible working' webinar Wednesday 8 March 2023. The webinar will brought together a panel of experts to discuss will the benefits of flexible working to attract and retain talent in the construction and engineering sectors with a panel of industry experts.

Awards

This years Inspiring Women in Construction and Engineering Awards return to recognise the women and teams making outstanding contributions to gender diversity within their industry.

The categories and criteria for the awards aim to recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations striving to make the construction industry and their organisations great places to work for women. With categories designed to showcase both individual and organisation wide initiatives.

This years awards are bigger than ever with 10 new categories to celebrate the exceptional women and teams within our industry.

Conference

The Inspiring Women in Construction and Engineering conference brings together women and allies from both sectors for a half day conference. The event will showcase the inspiring role models and demonstrate how organisations are striving to improve diversity and empower women in the sector.
