Katie is the Housing & Innovation Director at specialist consultancy Akerlof. She has specialist knowledge of how modern methods of construction (MMC), design for manufacture and assembly (DfMA), offsite technologies and design standardisation to realise social, environmental and economic outcomes for projects. She draws on her broad experience of designer, client and main contractor to drive sector improvements and achieve better outcomes for clients. She recently led the development of an MMC Digital Kit of Parts for Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), engaging with 300+ industry experts translate policy into practice.
